Welcome to Dirt Cheap Dirt

In the early Spring of 2026 the drummer in our band, selfishly, had a baby and we were left on temporary hiatus whilst he learned to keep the little mite alive.

I needed to scratch my musical itch and for some reason still unknown to me (just kidding - I have raging ADHD), and despite recording an entire album using only a loud amp and a volume pedal, I decided I really needed to get into guitar pedals and build the perfect tone in pedalboard form.

Never one to spend good money on something that would just work, I turned to the 3 kings for guidance - Vinted, eBay and Reverb (with the court jester of Facebook Marketplace watching from the side).

So begins my spiral into the Dirt Locker...

On this blog I'll share with you the pedals I have bought, give some probably overly honest reviews, and hopefully finally convince my wife that all of this was worth it.
